Perhaps you live some distance away, work long hours, have caring responsibilities of your own, or simply worry about how a loved one is getting on when you're not around. Family Friend offers a simple way to provide an extra bit of reassurance.
Family Friend provides friendly telephone welfare calls to people who may appreciate a regular chat and a little contact with the outside world. It can also give their family peace of mind knowing that someone is checking in.
Calls can be arranged as a single check-in, weekly or daily calls, regular welfare calls or holiday check-ins. The service can be tailored around what works best for you and your loved one.
A call isn't just about asking, "Are you OK?" It's about having a friendly conversation, finding out how their day is going and giving them the opportunity to talk to someone. For some people, knowing that a friendly voice will be calling can become a welcome part of their routine.
With your agreement, I can also follow an agreed escalation process if there is a concern. For example, if your loved one doesn't answer their phone, I can make further attempts to contact them and, where appropriate, contact their nominated emergency contact according to the arrangements we have agreed in advance.
Family Friend is not a care, medical or emergency response service. It is a friendly telephone check-in service designed to provide connection, reassurance and an additional layer of peace of mind.
